EFEKTIVITAS PENGELOLAAN TATA LETAK PERPUSTAKAAN MADRASAH ALIYAH LABORATORIUM KOTA JAMBI

Abstract

School libraries have an important role as a center for modern and adaptive learning resources to meet current educational needs, based on the results of research at the Madrasah Aliyah Laboratorium Library in Jambi City. This research uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The types and sources of data used are primary and secondary data. Data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis methods include data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Data validity consists of observer diligence and triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of library layout management at the Madrasah Aliyah Laboratorium in Jambi City has not been running optimally, this can be seen from several problems, namely the construction of the library building is not optimally designed. Unorganized and unseparated spaces, poor ventilation and lighting, limited collections, and inadequate furniture. The obstacles that influence are limited area, unskilled human resources, and inadequate special funds for the library. The efforts made are by participating in library management training, library seminars, and then increasing the library budget.
