This study explores the dynamic interaction between Islam and local cultural traditions in Indonesia to promote an inclusive religious identity. It aims to understand how these two elements harmoniously coexist and influence each other in shaping a collective sense of belonging within the diverse society of Nusantara. Employing qualitative methods, including field observations and in-depth interviews with community leaders and religious practitioners, the research highlights various practices where Islamic teachings integrate with indigenous cultural values. Findings reveal that this interaction fosters mutual respect, tolerance, and social cohesion, strengthening communal ties across different ethnic and religious groups. The study concludes that embracing cultural diversity within Islamic frameworks is essential for cultivating a pluralistic and inclusive religious identity that honors both faith and local heritage. This approach offers a valuable model for managing religious diversity in multicultural contexts.Downloads
